In the field of Air Purification, the little air purifier is a relative newbie. Air Filtration has become the accepted norm and is most recommended by the medical profession. The reasons for this are very understandable.
The technology used in home air purifiers is fairly new and has evolved over the years; often with undesirable effects as in the case of "Ozone Generators". The filtration industry, in order to protect their estimated $90 billion industry, was quick to point out the shortcomings and invent cute little slogans to accentuate their claims:
"Ozone: Good Up High, Bad Nearby"
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!
If you were the photographer that took this picture you could probably smell the ozone in the air around you.
Sayings of this nature come from “Bad Science” at best, and “outright lies” at worst. They give a false picture to people who are trying to make an informed decision on the best value in an air purification device.
If, after reading the information below, you are still hesitant about ozone, take a look at
“Space Age Technologies.”
These technologies are the future of indoor air purification and you have access to them now.

If you haven't given ozone a seriously look, you have probably fallen for the popular misinformation that ozone is something toxic in the air and is to be avoided as a major health hazard. If this has been your perception then you will be surprised to hear me refer to ozone as a purifying agent.
The fact is, there is no safer, effective and more convenient oxidizing agent (acting alone) to purify polluted air, than this very natural element! It is an element created and used by nature herself to clean the air of pollutants introduced by man and other sources.
